THE PLUMEN 002

The Plumen 002 is a new light bulb (an energy efficient alternative to the 30W incandescent bulb) that is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter to generate volume for their first production run.  It’s been described as the world’s most stylish light bulb.  If you watch the video it starts with Plumen founder and design director Nicolas Roope’s observation; “don’t you think it’s strange that the light bulb, an object so synonymous with ideas, is almost entirely absent of imagination.”

These guys have plenty of imagination.  I can’t wait to see what they do next with LED

My light bulb moment was when I saw a photo of The Plumen 001 – it’s the light bulb I am going to use on the bathroom wall in the lodge :-)  Below is the photo that gave me the inspiration (sorry, can’t find source) and below that the photo of where it’s going (once I can find a suitable fitting).
